I got my first taste of graphic design in high school designing layout, ads and pasting up my senior yearbook. I was hooked. After two years in commercial art at Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City, MI, my career began at a small, hometown newspaper designing ads and yes, setting type and pasting up the paper. My first digital design work was there on a Apple SEII with about an 8-inch screen. 

Now, 32 years later, after nearly twenty years at two more newspaper in Northern Michigan, a move with my family to South Dakota, learning a new science as the in-house graphic designer for an ammunition company, I am now the Communications Coordinator and part-time art teacher at the WellFully Premier Adolescent Care Center here in Rapid City.
