Join us February 24 at 8:30am MT (10:30am ET) for a conversation with Ashley M. Jones, Alabama’s Poet Laureate! She'll shed light on her journey, shares her enthusiasm for life, and her hopes for the future. 

With three published books to her credit, Ashley's writings capture life and emotion in a meaningful and insightful manner. Her poems and essays appear in or are forthcoming at CNN, POETRY, The Oxford American, Origins Journal, The Quarry by Split This Rock, Obsidian, and many others.

She teaches Creative Writing at the Alabama School of Fine Arts and in the Low Residency MFA at Converse University. Jones co-directs PEN Birmingham, and she is the founding director of the Magic City Poetry Festival. She recently served as a guest editor for Poetry Magazine.
