Pine Ridge Holiday Party for At-Risk Youth and Suicide Survivors

The American Advertising Federation of the Black Hills and Lakota Voice Project have teamed up to lend a hand this holiday season and help at-risk youth and suicide survivors have a holiday to remember. On Sunday, Dec. 20, 15 teenagers on the Pine Ridge Reservation will receive stockings, a small gift and a warm meal donated by Smokin’ Hot Catering.

Donations are currently being accepted to help make this event happen. The following items are suggestions, though all gifts, including cash and check donations, are welcome. Please make checks payable to AAF-Black Hills.

Donation suggestions include:

  • Axe body wash
  • Cologne and perfume
  • Hair products
  • Earbuds
  • Socks
  • Sunglasses
  • Scarves
  • Winter apparel
  • Sketchbooks, pencils and markers
  • Gift cards: Target, Walmart

Contact Jason Alley with the Lakota Voice Project at (605) 430-5407, to pick up donations before Dec. 18.  Donations may also be dropped off anytime at The Garage, 402 Saint Joseph Street.
