AAF-BH & Lakota Voice Project to host Christmas party for Pine Ridge youth

lakota voice

Let’s make a little Christmas magic.

This month AAF-Black Hills is kicking off its annual service project. AAF-Black Hills and Lakota Voice Project have teamed up to host a Christmas party for a group of suicide survivors and at-risk youth. With the holidays upon us, this time is especially hard for youth on the Pine Ridge Reservation. Many are without family, and every day is a struggle. So, we’re providing ten teenagers with stockings, a small gift and a warm meal.

But we need your help to make it happen.

The following items are suggestions, though all donations are welcome! Items may be dropped off at the Garage, 402 Saint Joseph St., or at the December 16th program at the Dahl Arts Center.

  • Axe Bodywash
  • Cologne & perfume gift boxes
  • Face cleanser
  • Make up gift boxes
  • Hair products
  • Earbuds
  • Thick socks
  • Sunglasses
  • Scarves

If you feel inclined to make a cash donation, please make checks out to AAF-Black Hills. Feel free to make a donation via Paypal https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/send-money-online, as well, denoting Lakota Voice Project Christmas in the subject line of the recipient email. Contact Jason Alley, 430-5407, or Dani to pick up donations before December 19. Want to help serve a meal or hand out gifts? Let us know!

Thank you for lending a hand this holiday season to help at-risk youth and suicide survivors have a Christmas to remember. Your small donation makes all the difference in the world.
