2014 American Advertising Awards

RAPID CITY, S.D. (Feb. 12, 2014) – The American Advertising Federation-Black Hills (AAF-Black Hills) presented its 2013-2014 American Advertising Awards for creative excellence Friday, Feb. 7, at the Dahl Arts Center. This annual gala and awards presentation was attended by 125 area advertising and marketing professionals.

Of the 122 professional and student entries received, 18 gold and 16 silver awards were presented. Entries were judged based on creativity, originality and creative strategy.

Top awards of the evening went to the best of show “Tommy Award” winner Black Hills & Badland Tourism Association. In the best of show student division, Black Hills State University (BHSU) student Makena Peet took runner up and Orlando Munoz, BHSU, won the award.

The AAF-Black Hills American Advertising Awards competition was made possible by AAF-Black Hills’ annual sponsor Midcontinent, Black Hills Corporation for design collateral, Simpsons Printing for print collateral and Message for student sponsorship. Proceeds from the awards show help support AAF-Black Hills’ educational programs and public service projects.
